B.S : Why did you decide to create an agency specialising in tailor made travel around the wines and vineyards of Bordeaux region ?

L.G : It just happened naturally. I come from a family that has been involved in the wine business in Bordeaux for many generations and all my professional life has been in management for the food industry both in France and internationally. Whenever I travelled, I was always struck by the notoriety of Bordeaux. It’s a name that inevitably evokes a great number of pleasant ideas and images. Whether or not people have been to Gironde, they always have the desire to come back or visit for the first time.
If you add to this the fact that more and more growers are happy to open their cellars, then I came to the conclusion that VITIVINITOUR would be a great way to create real meetings between curious visitors and the art of living in the Bordeaux region.

B.S : What would you like to offer to your visitors ?

L.G : Bordeaux and its region have a thousand and one things to do which means that visits can offer many diverse, pleasing experiences, which can be relaxing or adventurous. When planning our programmes we try to include both excitement and authenticity.
Of course we include a certain number of “musts” but we also propose more exclusive visits rich in interest and conviviality. In fact, my goal is for our guests to experience the same special moments that I have had through personal encounters.

B.S : How do you choose the professionals with whom you work ?

L.G :It goes without saying that the criteria for choice is competence and reliability. But other things are also important, I want to work with people who share my vision of hospitality and who have original ideas.
That’s why, more than having “suppliers” I prefer to speak of partners with whom I can collaborate to improve and develop new products and ideas.
The originality of my approach lies in the depth of personal relationships that I have with people in this area.
